Reef Culture Mission: To provide common to rare, high quality, quarantined and conditioned livestock as well as top of the line equipment and supplements to customers in the Phoenix metro area, as well as the rest of the US via our website.
Reef Culture recognizes the ecological importance of preserving the diversity of the ocean. An important part of the Reef Culture mission involves furthering the education of our hobby and promoting an awareness for the stunning, yet fragile, species of coral. Our internal procedures for handling and shipping coral exceed industry standards; we stay abreast of the ever-changing field of marine research; and we provide the utmost in customer service when further expertise is required.
Our sustainability commitment excels beyond industry standards and ethics. We never forget that coral is a living being, both animal and a plant, making it one of the most intriguing animals on our planet. We make immense efforts to ensure the animals are ethically collected, transported quickly, and quarantined. If any health issues arise, we quickly diagnose and treat. Beyond that, we support smaller suppliers who believe in a similar code of ethics. We always pay for expedited shipping. We never knowingly order from a cyanide fisher or any supplier known to practice unethical collecting methods.
Additionally, we encourage the successful breeding of tank raised coral and fish to help minimize wild coral and fish collection. With the proper instruction, acclimation, and care, tank raised coral and fish thrives beyond what wild coral and fish can. We work diligently with each customer to ensure the success of their tank.
At Reef Culture, we put a substantial amount of work into fostering in a “green” environment. We’ve perfected the minimum amount of necessary light needed for maximum growth. We utilize energy efficient pumps, even though they’re more expensive initially. Our tanks are built locally to reduce shipping and transit costs. We fundamentally believe in purchasing high quality products for our store if they reduce our energy consumption.
