Livestock Care

All fish are fed small amounts of food multiple times per day. We feed a variety of foods to our fish and pay special attention to the dietary needs of each specific type of fish. We supplement our frozen food mix with amino and omega fatty acids, vitamins, and garlic. We are constantly doing water changes from bagging our fish and backwashing out filters. Our tank water is tested frequently to ensure our livestock is kept in the most pristine water possible. We exclusively use high quality salt, mixed to 1.018 specific gravity and we medicate with copper. All system water is flowed through an 800w UV before it reenters the system, ensuring that if something slipped through our strict quarantine protocol that it has little chance of survival.

All coral is spot fed vitamin-rich food based on their individual requirements, several times each day. We also run refugium’s on all our reef systems to help promote natural food production. All reef systems are kept at a natural seawater state of 1.027 specific gravity. We are constantly water changing these systems from the sale of live stock and our weekly 10+% water changes. Finally, we continually test water parameters, and dose with high quality supplements and use the best quality salts available.
